WHAT TO EXPECT

From booking to the wedding day and everything in between...

If you were expecting a stylist who just shows up on the wedding day and quickly leaves as soon as the last bobby pin is placed, think again!

Booking

  • I am so honored you are considering including Gracie Mae Bridal Hair for your day!

  • Once you fill out an inquiry form, I will be in touch by the end of the following day with a service and pricing guide that will include a quote and proposed timeline for your day.

  • Once you've reviewed the quote and are ready to book, you can request the contract.  You'll then have 3 days with the date reserved to ask questions and submit your contract and non-refundable retainer of $300 which is applied toward your trial run and wedding day style.

  • Once this comes through, I'll send you the final booking confirmation within 24-48 hours.

Planning Process

  • Depending on how far away your wedding is, this is when you can RELAX and enjoy being engaged!

  • 6 months before your wedding date, I'll be in touch to begin finalizing the details like where you'll be getting ready and when you'd like to schedule your trial run.

  • It is also at 6 months before your wedding that your number of services is confirmed.

  • This is a great time to talk things over and consider factors like:  What time of year is it?  What style compliments your gown, theme, vibe, personality?  Will you need extensions to achieve your look?  I'm here to help through all of these questions!

30 Days to go!

  • Once you reach the 30 day point before your wedding, it's really crunch time!

  • I will request the contact information for everyone receiving services.  This is where I take being the messenger off of your plate!  I will contact each party member and request pictures of their current hair and desired styles so that on wedding day, I am completely prepared.

  • I will also ask for the contact info for your vendors including the coordinator, photographer, videographer, venue owner - anyone who has a hand in the timeline of your day.  I do this so I can get a sense for the flow of the day and make sure you are ready and relaxed for each moment to be captured.

  • The final payment is invoiced and due 2 weeks prior to your wedding date.

Wedding Week

  • It's the final countdown!

  • I will be in touch to confirm final details and make sure nothing is missed.

  • I will connect with each party member to have their hair consultation before wedding day in order for everything to FLOW just as much as the mimosas are

WEDDING DAY!

  • I will arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to our scheduled start time.

  • The bridal style will take 60-90 minutes while other styles will take 45 minutes or less.

  • I will plan for all styles to be finished within 5-6 hours depending on the number of services.  If the timeline does not allow for that, I will bring an assistant or additional stylist for efficiency.

  • My target time to have you ready will be one full hour before you need to be.  This is so we have plenty of time for touchups and you can remain relaxed!

  • I will remain on location for 1 hour after everyone is ready to include clean up time, placing your veil after your gown is on, and teaching your mom or maid of honor how to remove the veil.

  • I will request photos of everyone if time permits.

  • If you'd like me to stay longer for touch ups or a reception style change, I am happy to!  We can discuss options when we chat.

  • It's finally time to say I DO!
